Font Selector for Adobe InDesign [experiment]

Font Selector for InDesign

This is an experimental app to display a font panel in InDesign in order to easily apply various fonts to the selected text.

This is not a finished product. It’s based on a totally different app that was quickly repurposed to display a font list in InDesign.

macOS 11 and later
InDesign 2022 and later

Unzip and move Font Selector to the Applications folder.

Double-click Font Selector like any other app to display the font list in InDesign.

Select some text in InDesign and use Font Selector to apply various fonts.

In the preferences, you can specify fonts you wish to hide (based on strings to filter).

Restart Font Selector to take effect.

Please send any feedback via the support page https://zevrix.com/support (or by using the contact options from within Font Selector).

As mentioned, it’s an experiment whose future (or lack thereof) depends on the user feedback.

Font Selector will add a menu bar item. You can also use it to open preferences and quit the app.

There are several other items and menus that refer to the functionality of the original app.

Font Selector currently does NOT reflect the font applied to the selected text in InDesign. Font Selector only applies the font selected in its list.
