Activate preflighting to preflight InDesign documents before output using either InDesign's built-in preflighting or Output Factory's basic preflighting.

Output Factory can also automatically preflight final PDF files using Acrobat Pro preflight droplets.

BASIC PREFLIGHT

• Links, Fonts and Overset text settings
Define Output Factory's behavior when missing or modified links, missing fonts or overset text are found in InDesign document:
Skip document: The document will be skipped and preflight errors saved in the file's history.
Process document: Preflight errors will be ignored.

Note: When using the Basic Preflight option, InDesign will report ALL occurrences of missing fonts and overset text. This may include instances that are not reported to the user in the InDesign document itself as they don't in fact affect the document (for example, fonts in unused styles, overset text outside the pasteboard etc.) Output Factory will also report all these occurrences. To avoid such preflight errors that can be ignored, please use the InDesign's built-in preflight option. It will report the exact same preflight results you'd find in InDesign.

INDESIGN'S BUILT-IN PREFLIGHT

• Preflight Profile
Select desired InDesign's preflight profile.

• Use document's embedded profile...
If a preflight profile has been embedded in InDesign document, the embedded profile will be used instead of the profile selected in the above menu.

• Skip file if preflight errors found:
Specify which errors should make Output Factory skip documents.

If InDesign's preflight detects any of the specified errors, the document will be skipped. Otherwise, the document will be processed.

For example, you can choose to skip documents with missing links while ignore existence of overset text.

PDF PREFLIGHT (export to PDF only)

• Preflight PDF with Acrobat Pro droplet
Select the desired Acrobat Pro preflight droplet. Output Factory will use the droplet to preflight PDF files after they're created. Click More Info button in Output Factory for more details on preflight droplets.
Note: The final PDF files will be moved to the folders specified in the droplet settings. The Output Folder sttings of Output Factory Server will be ignored.
