PROCESSING OF INDESIGN BOOK FILES


You can add InDesign books (.indb) to Output Factory queue along with regular InDesign documents.

Output Factory outputs books as single output file - similar to InDesign's commands Print Book and Export Book to PDF (Output Factory 1.2.4 and later). Thus you need to add a book only if you intend to output it as one file. Otherwise, the desired InDesign files should be added separately.

If Output Factory settings don't allow to output the book as a single file, the book will be skipped:

-Books will be skipped if "Export as single pages" is selected. If you wish to export book contents as single pages, please add the book parts to Output Factory individually.
-Books will be only processed for output to print, PostScript, PDF and EPUB; otherwise skipped

Note: When you output books with layer versioning, all book parts must be saved from the current InDesign version prior to processing.
