Toronto (ON), Canada - September 21, 2009 - Zevrix Solutions announces LinkOptimizer Light 4.1.2, an important update to the low-cost, simplified version of its popular workflow automation solution for Adobe InDesign. LinkOptimizer eliminates the excess image data of document links, performs essential image adjustments and converts various image formats, thereby significantly reducing the size of InDesign job and reducing output time and production costs.
In order to eliminate excess image data, LinkOptimizer automatically scales and crops the images in Photoshop to match their dimensions in InDesign, changes resolution according to the target resolution specified, and reimports images to InDesign at 100%. As a result, the size of InDesign job can be reduced dramatically - some jobs can shrink by half and more.
LinkOptimizer Light lets graphics and prepress professionals save gigabytes of disk space, accelerate document output, save endless hours of optimizing images manually and cut costs through faster processing.
The new version introduces compatibility with Mac OS X 10.6 Snow Leopard, and addresses several performance and stability issues related to InDesign clipping paths, link status and international system support.
