Zevrix Solutions released BatchOutput Server 4.1.5, a maintenance update to its output workflow automation solution for Adobe InDesign. The software automates printing and exporting to PDF and PostScript by processing InDesign files from network-based hotfolders. BatchOutput Server frees up operator stations from the output process and allows companies to achieve more with same or less resources. The new update improves the auto-updating of modified links in InDesign documents.
Toronto (ON), Canada - March 25, 2009 - Zevrix Solutions announced today the release of BatchOutput Server 4.1.5, a maintenance update to its powerful output workflow automation solution for Adobe InDesign. The software automates printing and exporting to PDF and PostScript by processing InDesign files from network-based hotfolders. It targets publishing houses, design firms, printers, and prepress bureaus. BatchOutput Server allows companies to achieve more with same or less resources because it frees up the operator stations from the output process. Platform independent, it can process files from both Mac and Windows PC computers.
Once the BatchOutput Server Workflow is installed, the operators stop wasting their time on waiting for InDesign to output files. The output process is taking place on the BatchOutput Server workstation. BatchOutput Server also contains a single set of output settings for an entire workgroup, eliminating costly mistakes related to settings inconsistency and simplifying IT tasks.
BatchOutput Server also offers e-mail notifications during processing, detailed logs and automatic error handling, variable output file names, automatic link updating, font auto-activation, remote monitoring and more.
The new update improves the auto-updating of modified links in InDesign documents. In previous versions, some duplicate modified links could remain outdated after processing by BatchOutput Server. This issue is now fixed.

BatchOutput Server runs on Mac OS X 10.4.2 or later (including Leopard), a Universal Binary, and works with Adobe InDesign CS-CS4. Files can be submitted from both Mac and PC computers. BatchOutput Server can be purchased for an introductory price of $499.95 from the Zevrix Solutions website, www.zevrix.com, as well as from authorized resellers.
